About the Design Hub
The Design Hub stands as a cornerstone of experiential learning, a dedicated environment built to support the entire lifecycle of a project. It embodies the College’s commitment to learning by doing, providing not only advanced tools but also a foundational philosophy of guided, safe, and collaborative creation. The space is strategically structured to scaffold learning—beginning with foundational Canvas training, progressing to hands-on equipment instruction, and culminating in a supportive environment where peer assistance and professional oversight ensure every user can confidently and safely bring their ambitious ideas to life.
Who Can Use It
Open to all College of Engineering students, faculty, and staff, and members of College of Engineering RSOs.
Training & Oversight
Training for every piece of equipment occurs in 2 phases, online and in person. By using this approach, users can get started on training whenever they need it.
Available Spaces
Fabrication areas include a woodshop, metalshop, digital fabrication, and electronics shop. Students also have access to four different project assembly spaces based on their project demands.
